Rubella Vaccinations
We just have back the report on our pilot project for Rubella Vaccination for young women in the area of Dharmavaram India. We vaccinated 850 girls and young women at a cost of $1.50 each. That’s a cost of $1.50 each to prevent possible birth defect or infant death from Rubella – How’s that for great value for money? Many Thanks to Suresh and the YOURS Foundation for the service delivery of the project. This week at the board meeting the board allocated another $1000 to vaccinate another 650 young women so we will be starting another project- further donations would be welcome.

Mens Shed BBQ
Tonight’s meeting is a BBQ with the Men’s Shed guys in Berwick. Should be good to have a look at what they do and how we can help. Men’s shed really do provide a great opportunity for many men to be involved and they have great results for improved mental health and happiness and enjoyment of life.
2015
Well, we are back for 2015 with a social BBQ last week and the Mayor of Casey giving us a briefing on the new cultural centre being built this week. We have 2 new members and are looking forward to ramping up our projects for the year; next week we have a BBQ with the Men’s Shed guys at Akoonah Park. Not could be the time to join the conversation and be involved!
December 3 meeting was a home clean up
December 3 meeting was clean up at an elderly ladies home in Narre Warren, with about 1 dozen members we had it all done in about an hour and a half. Well done team!
