Membership of Rotary Club of Narre Warren will give you the opportunity to serve your local community, widen your circle of friends and participate in a world wide organisation that helps to improve the lives of millions of people across the globe. Rotary is non-political, non-religious, and membership of a Rotary club is open to men and women of all cultures, races, and creeds. We view our self as a modern club that is moving with the 21st century times and needs of our members and community.
We welcome interested people wanting to make a difference in the community to contact us, attend a few meetings and see what we are all about . Our club has a good gender balance and a growing multicultural membership. Our club meets twice per month on the second and forth Wednesday of each month. We have recently swapped from the traditional weekly meeting to a meeting twice per month to help fit in with peoples modern busy lifestyles.
Members make a commitment to attend at least 50% of Rotary meetings and we understand that family and business situations often require you to attend to other responsibilities. Rotary members are also welcome to attend any other Rotary Club meeting throughout the world as a visiting guest. This is a good opportunity to meet new people with similar humanitarian interests. Membership of Rotary enables you to fully participate in all club activities and contribute your ideas, skills, expertise and enthusiasm to Rotary projects and fellowship. Membership fees for 2019/ 2020 are $280 per year.
Family / Couples Membership – 2 People in the same family or a couple residing at the same address receive a $50 discount on the second membership.
The club normally meet at Fountain Gate Hotel Club 6.30 pm for a 7 pm start on the Second and Forth Wednesday of each calendar month. Sometimes we do swap around a bit so if you are planning on attending it might pay to give us an email first.
How do I Join the Rotary Club of Narre Warren? If you are interested in joining the Rotary Club of Narre Warren the best thing to do is to email the President. The President will ring you and arrange for you to attend a few meetings so you can get to know us and we can get to know you. If after attending at least three meetings both the Rotary Club of Narre Warren and you believe you would be a valuable member you would then be invited to join the club and arrange the induction process. It may sound a bit of a long process but Rotary International is a worldwide organisation with a formal membership process that all Rotary clubs must abide by.
